Reflections on This Year’s Annual NGO Consultation Gathering

The Executive Director of Dayah Organization, Mohamed Abdi Mohamud, today participated in the Annual NGO Consultation Meeting held in Dhuusamareeb, the capital city of Galmudug.

The meeting focused on reviewing humanitarian activities implemented in 2025, identifying the key challenges faced by organizations, and outlining strategic priorities for 2026 aimed at strengthening collective impact and coordination.

Participating organizations presented updates on their programs, shared lessons learned, and discussed approaches for improving the delivery of essential services to communities affected by humanitarian crises. The Executive Director of Dayah Organization delivered a presentation outlining the organization’s 2025 achievements and the challenges encountered, particularly in displacement-affected areas and regions with urgent humanitarian needs.

A general briefing presented during the event also highlighted that Dayah Organization is preparing to take part in an upcoming national-level conference scheduled to be held in Mogadishu. The conference will focus on issues related to food security, hunger and malnutrition trends, and ways to strengthen collaboration among agencies working on food-security risk management across the country.

Mohamed Abdi Mohamud emphasized that the Mogadishu conference represents a significant opportunity to align national and international efforts. He reaffirmed Dayah Organization’s readiness to actively contribute to the consultations and the development of joint strategies related to food security.

The Dhuusamareeb meeting concluded with Dayah Organization recognized as one of the institutions that played an active role in the discussions and provided valuable recommendations.
